My computer had been installed Office 2013 ProPlus preview version. When I tried to install Visio 2013 preview version, I got a problem about "Microsoft Office 2013 does not support upgrading from a preview version of Microsoft Office 2013. You must first uninstall these preview versions of Microsoft products and associated technologies: Microsoft Professional Plus 2013". How to resolve this problem?

Office 15 is Laggy and BUGGY
This is perhaps the worst version of Office I have used. 2000 was fine.
Skipped 2003. 2007 was innovative. 2010 was very impressive. 2013 is a serious step back. The new UI is extremely laggy on any computer of mine. The stupid smooth page reflow is just dumb, especially for long documents. Waiting for 50 pages of text to reflow
takes forever. Plus, the time needed to save files is so long in Office 15. I hit "ctrl+s" and the entire program locks up, taking a good couple seconds to save. On office 2010, saving was almost instantaneous and I could still type as Office saved the file.
This is not mentioning the sheer number of times Office 15 has crashed on me.

Outlook 2013 Preview and Embedded Images
Hey all,
A strange problem; one of my colleagues is testing Office 2013 Preview, and we are having problems with Signatures from Outlook.
He still has Office 2010 installed, and signatures from Outlook 2010 work fine.
When he sends an email with his signature, which has an image, Outlook 2013 sends the email with a local reference to the image, instead of embedding the image. I can see this if I pull up his email in my Outlook, view source, and the path to the image points to his C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures folder, instead of 'cid:xxxxx'.
This also happens for external emails, however he has had some exceptions, where 1 recipient used GMail which showed fine (apparently).
I couldn't see any settings in Outlook 2013 that would control this, and Googling gave me nothing. We do use Exchange 2010 and both his Outlook versions are setup with an Exchange account. Nothing on Exchange side that would separate his version of Outlook.

Word & Outlook - display throws up random parts of document, treats as if not there, but I can no longer see what I'm working on
First of all, none of the suggest "related" topics are related.

When I type on a document Word randomly throws up random parts of the document. The parts aren't actually there, only displayed. In other words, if I try to edit the strange stuff, nothing happens. Instead, the actual document, which I can no longer see, gets edited. It's impossible to work this way. Seriously, blind men can't read or edit documents that they can't feel and resolution high though it may be, provides no tactile feedback.
What is going on! I've sent frowns for months. I actually uninstalled Office preview because of this. Now I'm going to have to do it again. Why on Earth would I want to buy this if it doesn't work on my system.

CalDAV and CardDAV support in Outlook 2013?
Before we purchase multiple licenses for Office 2013 in this enterprise environment, we MUST be convinced that CalDAV and CardDAV will work with Outlook 2013. We were told the Alpha version supported it, but now in looking at the trial version, we cannot
find any information regarding it. Please tell us if we can incorporate Cal and CardDAV, and if so, how to do it.

Items Put in Outlook 2013 Folders Disappear - Shows Number of Emails However
Hi All,
Have a number of personal fodlers under my Outlook Data File to store personal, receipts, saved, etc. I put existing emails into these folders and the folder then shows "We didn't find anything to show here" even though Outlook 2013 clearly shows the number of emails it is holding in the folder (101, 32, 17, etc).
Cannot figure out how to get these emails to show. VERY frustrating. How do I get my emails back??

Outlook 2013 question: How to show more than "todays appts" in to-calendar?
2007 showed as many as it could if configured that way. This is only showing today's appts. How to I make it show more?

Outlook 2013 To Do/Calndar pane
Afternoon
I installed Office 2013 today. I opened Outlook and reviewed some of its features and encounterd these 2 problems:
1. I configured Outlook to display the To Do/Calendar pane to the right of the reading pane. I was unable to resize the To Do/Calendar pane.
2. The To Do/Calendar pane displayed only 1 day's calendar entries in the window. Under Outlook 2007, I could display multiple day's entries in the To Do/Caledar pane.
Is there a solution to either problem?

Show unviewed items count in Outlook 2013?
Outlook 2013 currently shows items count marked as unread on a folder, which is fine, but I’m wondering it is a way to see new / unviewed items count like on windows phone – on device I see that there are 5 new item and when I go to folder this items count go to 0 (messages are still marked as unread but they are not “new” anymore)

My Apps doesn't show?
Installed Office 365. In Excel, added the Bing Maps App. Click on Apps for Office and My Apps doesn't show. All I get is Featured and Office Store. Manage My Apps just brings me to the web.
How do I get the Apps I've added to show up in Excel? All help I can locate on the web states that when I click on the Insert tab, then click on Apps for Office, then click on My Apps. That's what's missing? And I'm sure I'm missing something simple.
Any suggestions?

The environment:
OS: Windows 8 Release Preview
Outlook: Outlook 2013 Consumer preview
The weird thing is that until yesterday, Outlook 2013 was working like a charm. Suddenly, this morning when i opened my computer, Outlook 2013 failed to connect to the Exchange Server.
I deleted my account, tried adding it back again (using both autodiscover and manual config) and i started getting the following message in the Add Account window:
"The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
Clicking OK on this alert opens a pop up where i'm again prompted to enter the Exchange Server address and my username. Doing so and clicking ok i get the following message:
"The name cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
Seeing as this was not working, i deleted the entire profile via Mail (Control Panel) and recreated it from scratch. The results are the same.
Now, i've found many thread on this with previous Outlook versions but the fixes suggested there do not apply to Outlook 2013 (regedit and DefConnectOpts seemed to do the trick for some people).
Can anyone tell of a fix for this issue? At the very least, is it a client (Outlook) issue or a server(Exchange server) issue?

Office 2013 applications crash on loading
I decided to download Office 2013; it installed OK but all of the apps immediately crash on loading. My Office 07 apps still work OK (that's a relief). Other details:
- Running Win 7 32-bit
- Uploaded current Nvidia GPU Driver - apps still crash
- Running Malwarebytes in the background. I disabled that and the Office 2013 apps still crash
- Running Microsoft Security Essentials as AV program
- Tried to repair Office 2013 using quick repair tool and the longer Internet tool. No change in the apps crashing.

Every Office 2013 crashes on launch
Hi All. I'm trying to run Office 2013 from the .msi file. I've tried various options, including keeping my existing O2010, and removing everything for a clean install. Regardless of that, every single O2013 app crashes on launch, in most cases, the splash screen does not even complete rendering. Even log shows:

Installed Office 2013 Customer Preview, unfortunately Outlook keeps crashing, without any error. Any ideas how to get it to be a little more stable?

Outlook 2013 Preview Email stuck in Outbox
We have Windows 8 RTM and Office 2013 Preview.
I tried to send emails to a contact group I had previously created in Outlook 2010. When I try, the emails do not send and seem to be stuck in the Outbox because I see that there are 2 messages supposedly in the Outbox.
However when I click on the Outbox, it shows that there are no messages there.
Meanwhile I can continue to send and receive other emails just fine. It is only the emails sent to my contact group that disappear.
How can I fix this?

Outlook 2010 getting uninstalled after installing office 2013
My Outlook 2010 is getting uninstalled after installing office 2013.
I have selected custom installation and opted to retain the current version.
All tools in office 2010 is retained except Outlook.
Also office 2013 I am able to open only in safe mode.
I have tried multiple times and facing the same issue :(
Has anyone faced this issue?

Excel undo stack common to all open excel files
Hi,
I had two different excel files open today, and i modified the first, modified the second, and went back to the first. However i decided that I didn't want the modification for the first, so I CTRL-Z to undo. Problem is, it undid my modifications in the second file.
I understand if the undo stack is common among the sheets of a file (though I wish there were an option to have the stack sheet independent), but i consider it a really bad design decision to have the stack common to all files.
Any way to change these settings?

Connection status always showing DISCONNECTED
I've added a couple of accounts all on the same domain and one works but the other always shows a connection status of DISCONNECTED. I cannot get the account to work. I've added the account to my Windows 8 Mail program add it works fine. I can connect to Outlook.com and log into the account just fine. I can even show the account details, check the settings and when I click next it connects fine. I cannot get the account to go online. It just stays "DISCONNECTED".
Does anyone have any ideas? Anything I can do to make the account work?
